Blia Thao is the Coordinator on the Production Talent & Partnerships team for Global Talent Development & Inclusion. In this role, she is responsible for developing curriculum strategy and executing event programming on GTDI's Below-the-Line programs and initiatives. In addition to that, Thao serves as a liaison between internal partnerships, such as Employee Resource Groups, and external partnerships.
Previously, Thao was an Executive Search Coordinator where she helped attract and hire some of NBCUniversal's top executives. Prior to joining NBCUniversal, Thao was a Talent Acquisition Coordinator at 20th Century Fox where she was instrumental in diversifying the workforce. Thao first got her start in the entertainment industry as a budding actress and has always been passionate about increasing diversity, equity, and inclusion in Hollywood so that the world we see on screen reflects the world we live in.
Thao is a graduate of the University of California, San Diego with a degree in Theatre and minor in English Literature. In her spare time, she enjoys snuggling her two cats, reading, attending musicals, and picking up her next new skill – a motto she lives by: “You're never too old to learn something new!”
